Get To Know Me

Hi! I’m Charity Dombroski, a professional harpist, arranger, and teacher based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. I offer elegant, expressive harp music for weddings, corporate events, church services, and private events. I’m passionate about using music to create meaningful, memorable connections with both audiences and students, and I love helping bring each client’s vision to life.

I Play For A Variety Of Events

I perform regularly as a solo harpist for weddings, funerals, church services, and background music events such as dinners and brunches. I have extensive experience in church music and am comfortable providing music for a variety of services and ceremonial settings.

I’m also passionate about community music-making and have performed for events like the Anderson Cancer Association’s Concert of Hope fundraiser, AnMed patient programs, and local nursing and assisted living communities.

I enjoy arranging and composing music across a wide range of styles, including classical, film, pop, and jazz, and I love creating customized setlists that reflect the atmosphere and meaning of each event.

My Ensemble Experience

I’ve had the joy of performing with a variety of ensembles throughout my career. I was a member of the Anderson Symphony Orchestra for four seasons and have also performed with Oconee Winds, the Spartanburg Youth Philharmonic, and the Clemson University Orchestra, along with several high school ensembles.

During my time at Anderson University, I was actively involved in the String Ensemble, Wind Symphony, Commercial Ensemble, and Chamber Ensemble, and I also served as a harp accompanist for the Concert Choir.

Working on an ensemble performance and need a harpist? I’d love to be part of it! From orchestral to chamber settings, I’m always excited to collaborate and would be happy to discuss your project and how I can contribute to it.

I Teach Harp Lessons

As a teacher, I’m deeply committed to helping students discover their own voice in music. I believe music is for everyone, and I welcome students of all ages and experience levels.

My teaching focuses on building strong technique, encouraging musical expression, and developing confidence in a supportive and encouraging environment where students can grow at their own pace.

Interested in learning the harp or continuing your musical journey?

I’d love to work with you!

My Education & Training

I’ve been playing the harp for 12 years, and it’s been such a rewarding journey! I have loved music since I was very young and started by learning the piano, which gave me a great musical foundation. I was introduced to the harp at the church I grew up in and started taking lessons when I was 9 years old.

Throughout middle and high school, I continued growing as a musician and performed in competitions, which helped me build both confidence and experience. While I always loved the music and the harp, it wasn’t until college that I decided to pursue a career with it.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Music from Anderson University, with minors in Commercial Music and Marketing, where I had the privilege of studying under John Wickey. My training shaped me not only as a harpist, but as a performer. My favorite parts of performing are creating beautiful, meaningful moments through music and getting to hear how my music has touched people.
